PDF Editor
Privacy Policy
Effective 4 November 2026
This policy explains how the PDF Editor app (“PDF Editor”, “the app”) handles your information. PDF Editor is published by SUZ APPS (“we”, “us”). If you have a question about it, write to us at zammansultanuz@gmail.com.
In short
- Your forms, answers, signatures and personal details are stored only on your phone.
- PDF Editor has no account and no server. We don’t collect, upload, sell or share your forms or details, and they are never given to advertisers.
- Without Pro, the app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google’s ad software collects device and usage information, such as your advertising ID, to show and measure ads. With Pro there are no ads.
- Your information leaves the phone only when you choose to share, print, back up or email something.
Information stored on your phone
To fill in forms, PDF Editor stores the following in its private storage on your phone:
- photos, scans and PDF files of the forms you add;
- the answers, ticks, drawings, pictures and signatures you put on them;
- the personal details you choose to save in My details (for example name, date of birth, nationality, email address, phone number and address), for yourself and anyone else you add;
- your settings, folders and due dates.
This information is not sent to us or to anyone else. We cannot see it, and we cannot recover it for you if it is deleted.
Permissions
- Camera – to photograph paper forms, signatures and pictures. Photos are processed on the phone.
- Photos and files – to open a photo or PDF that you pick. PDF Editor only reads the items you choose.
- Notifications – to remind you before a form’s due date, if you set one. Reminders are scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent to a server.
- Fingerprint, face or screen lock – if you turn on Lock PDF Editor. Android checks your fingerprint, face or PIN and tells the app only whether the check succeeded. PDF Editor never receives your biometric data.
You can turn any permission off in your phone’s settings. Features that don’t need it keep working.
Reading text on forms (Google ML Kit)
To find blanks and name the fields on a form, PDF Editor uses Google’s ML Kit text recognition, which runs on your phone. The pictures of your forms and the text on them are not sent to Google or to us.
Like other apps that use ML Kit, the ML Kit library may contact Google to receive updates and may send Google technical information about how the feature performs, such as device model, operating system version, app information and performance figures. This information does not include your forms, answers or personal details. Google handles it under the ML Kit terms and the Google Privacy Policy.
Sharing, printing and backups
- Sharing and printing. When you share or print a form, PDF Editor creates a PDF and passes it to the app or printer you choose (for example email, a messaging app, Google Drive or a print service). From then on, that app’s or service’s privacy policy applies to the copy you sent.
- Backups you make. A PDF Editor backup file contains your forms, My details and signatures. It is saved wherever you choose, such as Files, Google Drive or an email. Keep it somewhere safe, because anyone with the file can restore its contents.
- Android backup. If backup is turned on in your phone’s settings, Android may include PDF Editor’s data in your Google account backup, under Google’s policies.
Purchases
PDF Editor Pro removes the ads and the daily limits on the PDF tools. It is sold through Google Play. Google handles the payment under its own privacy policy; we don’t receive your name, email address or payment details. To know whether Pro is active, the app asks Google Play on your phone which PDF Editor purchases your Google account holds. Your forms and details are not part of this check, and we keep no record of it.
Contacting us
If you use Report a problem in the app, your email app opens a message to us. When you send it, we receive what you write, your email address, and the app and phone details shown in the message (app version, operating system and phone model). We use them only to answer you and fix problems, and we delete them when they are no longer needed for that.
Ratings
PDF Editor may ask whether you’d like to rate it. The rating screen is shown by Google Play, which handles any rating or review you give.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Without Pro, PDF Editor shows ads from Google AdMob on its main screens (never over a form you are editing), and you can choose to watch an ad to get extra uses of a PDF tool. With Pro there are no ads.
To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google’s ad software in the app collects and sends to Google:
- your device’s advertising ID and app set ID;
- your IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location;
- how you interact with ads, such as app launches, taps and video views;
- technical information about the app and the ad software, such as launch time and performance.
This information is encrypted in transit. Google handles it under the Google Privacy Policy; you can read how Google uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Your forms, answers, signatures and saved details are never part of it.
- Consent. In the EU, the UK, Switzerland and other places where the law requires it, the app asks for your consent before ads are personalized, using Google’s consent form. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices. If you don’t consent, you may still see ads that are not personalized, or fewer ads; the app works the same.
- Advertising ID. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Settings → Google → Ads).
Usage statistics
Apart from the ML Kit technical information and the ad information described above, PDF Editor does not collect usage statistics. How often you use each PDF tool today is counted on your phone only, for the daily free uses, and is not sent to us or to anyone else.
Keeping and deleting your information
Your information stays on your phone until you delete it:
- delete a form by long-pressing it and tapping Delete, or delete all forms in Settings;
- delete saved signatures in Settings;
- clear My details field by field, or remove a person;
- uninstall PDF Editor to remove everything it stored on the phone.
Copies you shared, printed or backed up, and Android backups, are kept by the place you sent them to and must be deleted there.
Security
PDF Editor keeps its data in the app’s private storage, which other apps cannot read. You can also turn on Lock PDF Editor in Settings to require your fingerprint, face or PIN to open the app. Protect your phone with a screen lock, since anyone who can use your unlocked phone can open the app’s contents unless the app lock is on.
Children
PDF Editor is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because your information is stored on your phone and not by us, you can see, change, export and delete it yourself at any time in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under data protection law (such as the GDPR); if you have a question or request, contact us at zammansultanuz@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version at this address and update the effective date above.
